THE PROCESS OF PSYCHOTHERAPY

Your sense of safety and comfort as we work together is important. It is my intention to create a safe space where you may explore the difficulties that have brought you into therapy and come to a deeper understanding of who you are. As you share your beliefs, experiences, and bring attention to your inner life, I will be attuned to our process and conveying my understanding of your experience.

Thus, the therapy process is collaborative. How much you benefit from therapy depends on several factors:
  • Your readiness to share your inner experiences, thoughts and feelings
  • My support of your process through active listening, asking questions and posing possibilities for self-reflection
  • Our working together toward therapeutic goals that we may revisit along the way
